A man in his 70s was injured in a farm accident in Cavan on Saturday morning and later passed away as a result of the injuries, a garda spokesperson has confirmed to the Irish Farmers Journal.
Gardaí were called to the scene of the farm accident around 10.30am on Saturday in the Cootehill area.
"A man in his 70s was injured and brought to Cavan Hospital where he later died from his injuries," the spokesperson said.
The Health and Safety Authority has been notified and garda enquiries are continuing.
