The Health and Safety Executive of Northern Ireland (HSENI) is investigating whether the death of a man in Co Tyrone on Sunday was a farming accident.

"HSENI is aware of a fatality on a farm in the Ardstraw area and is investigating the circumstances," a spokesperson told the Irish Farmers Journal. "Our sympathy is with the man’s family at this most difficult time."

There were two farming accidents previously recorded in Northern Ireland between the start of the statistical year on 1 April, and seven in the year prior to that.
