European Parliament vice-president and European election candidate Mairead McGuinness will address the ICSA's Cavan county AGM next Monday.

The meeting will focus on CAP, with ICSA general secretary Eddie Punch to speak on the topic.

The other main item on the agenda is the crisis in the beef sector.

ICSA Cavan chair Hugh Farrell will also discuss TB, including the level of compensation for farmers and the push for more thorough investigations into the impact of deer on the spread of the disease.

The event will take place on Monday 29 April at the Kilmore Hotel in Cavan town at 8pm.
