The latest JCB 411 Agri and 417 Agri move from a 4.4 litre engine to a new 4.8 litre JCB locomotive, which is also fitted to the 413S Agri. The manufacturer meets the latest Stage V regulations with a single unit DPF/SCR solution. Peak power and torque for the 411 Agri remain unchanged at 109hp, but the 417 Agri sees a 4% increase in power output to 130hp, while the 413S gets a 5% increase in power to 150hp along with 7% more torque.

The loaders also feature the new Autostop system to help reduce fuel consumption by automatically shutting down after a period at idling speed. All three loaders also have a wide-core cooling pack and an optional reversible fan.

411 & 417

JCB states that its 411 Agri and 417 Agri are designed primarily for hard surface applications such as bulk stores and routine handling, and thus are equipped with a four-speed power-shift transmission.

Weighing in at 8.7t, the 411 Agri offers 3.36m of load-over clearance with the quick-hitch fitted and a full-turn tipping load of just over five tonnes with a general purpose 1.2-1.6m3 bucket.

Three loader arm choices are available with the 417 Agri, giving up to 4.2m clearance. It has a full turn tipping load of around 3.9t in that configuration, with up to 5.8t capacity available with a quick-hitch on the standard arms, which JCB states will clear 3.3m.

413S

JCB highlighted that the S designation of the 413S Agri indicates that this loader is equipped for more demanding applications. Thus, it has more engine power, a six-speed power-shift transmission and optional limited slip differentials front and rear.

This enables the loader to generate more pushing power and tractive performance. JCB states a top speed of nearly 50km/h to keep pace with tractors on the road.

Weighing in at 8.95t, it clears 3.61m with the optional high lift loader arms. The standard arms provide increased torque for improved lifting ability, giving the 413S Agri tipping loads from 4.6 to 5.6t depending on the front end configuration.

Updates

These mid-range loaders now benefit from new features first seen on the 435S. Features include rubber cushioning pads on the front face of the rear chassis near the articulation joint, upgraded seat options and a rear-view camera. Optional hydraulic suspension is also available.
