Price reductions of £5 to £10/t have been applied to certain types of fertiliser in NI in recent days.
Reports from local merchants suggest that price lists have been revised downwards by one of the main manufacturers in a bid to get product moving on to farms. Price lists for other brands of fertiliser remain unchanged since the last price rise which occurred in early April. It means quotes from local suppliers for CAN range from £450 to £470/t at present. Compound products such as 27-4-4 are available at around the £530/t mark and 20-10-10 is at £540/t.
