There was a 76% clearance rate of bulls at the Charolais premier in Elphin on Saturday.
This high clearance rate saw 53 of the 69 bulls forward sell to an average price of €3,822. A total of 23 of these bulls made €4,000 or more.

Overall, higher-quality bulls met an easier trade compared with plainer comrades.
This was evidenced by many of the pre-sale show prizewinners taking the upper end of prices.
Topping the sale with a price of €7,800 was the day's junior champion Tullaghan Ozzie from Michael Daly, Tullaghan, Co Leitrim.
This five-star son of Goldstar Echo also features Grimaldi and Pádraic in his pedigree. This January 2018-born bull was one of many to head north of the border.
Stylish
Standing in reserve to him was Richard Hackett's Limkiln Oscar 2 ET, which sold for €6,000.
Another January 2018-born bull, he is out of Panama and Enfield Plexus to the dam Limkiln Frances.
In the senior championship, Lewis Regan was out in front with his 16-month-old bull Fivestar Nenuphar 2 ET.
This bull's lineage contains Anside Foreman, Major and Jupiter. This stylish bull met his reserve at €5,600.
Taking the reserve in the senior championship was Enniscrone Naji from Ronan Gallagher, Co Sligo.
This October 2017-born bull is homebred on both sides, with his sire Enniscrone Harry and his dam Enniscrone Jillian ET.
He has five stars on the terminal index and sold for €5,100.
