Dairygold co-op plans to unveil a new phone application (app) for its milk suppliers early in the New Year. At present, the app is on trial with some of its board members.

Among other things, the app will allow suppliers with smartphones to review their milk quality, price and volumes supplied. Essentially, it brings the information available to suppliers online in the dedicated supplier website into their pocket. Dairygold management have been disappointed in the number of suppliers actually logging online to view milk results.

Noel Coughlan retiring

In other Dairygold news, Noel Coughlan (pictured) is set to retire this Christmas after 44 years of service to Dairygold co-op.

Noel was always helpful on the end of the phone to many Dairygold suppliers throughout the years.

It is also understood that Eamon O’Sullivan, who has also been involved recently on milk contract negotiations with suppliers, is to leave Dairygold for Novartis, Ringaskiddy, early in the New Year.
