However, the Dealer felt some sympathy for George on the final day when An Taoiseach arrived. Just prior to the press conference, the Dealer overheard a conversation between George and a bubbly TV3 reporter.
Moments before the Taoiseach arrived to answer media questions at the NPA’s headquarters, she asked George: “This must be really awkward for you ... have you spoken to Enda since ...?

“I have,” George duly replied. “Not in this kind of setting, but I have.”
Come press conference time, if George had any lingering feelings for his ex, they certainly didn’t show.
