Tanco is set to showcase a whole host of machines from across its bale wrapper, mower and implement ranges at Grass 2026. Out first on the day will be the front and rear M3 and M9 models firm’s Autocut mower range.

The rear combination is unique in the sense that the mowers sit on their own chassis and axle, meaning there is less weight on the tractor’s back end and rear axle, allowing a lighter tractor to power the unit.

Similar to a rake, the rear wheels are steered via a mechanical linkage which runs back from the headstock with a hydraulic oversteer system incorporated into the design.

The M3 and M9 mowers have a combined overall cutting width of 8.9m (30ft), while the M3 and larger M10 rear unit offer a wider overall cutting width of 9.8m (33ft).

The M9 in the working position takes 1,850kg on the lift arms, while the M10 places 1,900kg on the lift arms. Tanco claims the M9 can be driven with as little as 180hp to 200hp.

All the major components such as the cutter bars, gearboxes and drive shafts within the Autocut range are supplied by Comer industries. All other components are designed and built in-house by Tanco, such as the conditioner, which is equipped with semi-swing tines.

Both Tanco's proven 1400-V trailed wrapper and mounted S-200V will be demonstrated.

The front ‘pull-type’ M3 mower runs on a track system featuring hydro-pneumatic suspension. It is equipped with a seven-disc bed, which offers a 9.18ft (2.797m) cutting width. Weighing in at 1,200kg, it has a transport width of 9.66ft (2.945m).

Wrappers

Later on in the day, Tanco will demonstrate two wrappers, a trailed 1400-V model and a mounted S-200V which will be paired with a Schaffer loader. The S Series has proven to be a successful machine for Tanco. It is available with single, twin and triple film dispensers and can be operated on either a loader or three-point linkage. The proven design of the S Series also allows it to be used to stack bales.

Alongside mowers and wrappers, Tanco will display its range of feeding solutions back on its static stand in the trade village.

Models on show will include the I-73 Bale Shear, and I-75 Multi Shear.

Launched at the 2009 National Ploughing Championships, Tanco claims its bale shear was the first machine available on the market that was fitted with a mechanism for holding wrap and net/NRF while splitting and feeding bales. Using a sequence valve, a patented clamping mechanism holds the bale wrap and net allowing the loader operator to feed bales without having to get out of the loader.
