Tillage farm worker in Canada

A 4,000ac tillage farm in Canada is looking for a farm worker to help with its grain enterprise.

The company, North and South Farming, is based in Bassano, Alberta, Canada.

It is seeking a skilled and self-motivated individual to assist with various farming tasks on its cash crop grain farm.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, operating farm equipment - such as planters, sprayers, combines and semi-trucks - performing general maintenance on farm equipment and carrying out additional farm-related tasks as needed.

Those who apply are asked to have a valid class five driver's licence (the equivalent of a standard Irish licence), two or three years’ experience working on a farm, a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.

The salary on offer is CA$20 to CA$35 per hour, based on experience.

The farm is family owned and operated, priding itself on growing a variety of grain cash crops.

It operates modern John Deere equipment and W900 Kenworth semi-trucks. The farm is roughly 4,000ac in size.

A farm manager is required to manage an 80-cow herd near Portarlington, Co Laois.
