Farmers requested that ABP Bandon lift the injunctions against them and in return they would permit a limited number of cattle to enter the factory during the planned visit to the factory by the Chinese delegation.
They also committed to removing all signage pertaining to the protest from the factory gates for the duration of the visit.

The number of farmers at the protest has grown throughout the day to between 20 and 30 farmers.
Protesters in Bandon called in local accountant Kieran Coughlan to mediate between them and the factory.
However, Coughlan has reported that the factory stated that they are “not in a position to negotiate”.

Farmers have refused to allow cattle or refrigeration trucks to enter the factory throughout the day.
This resulted in a build-up of traffic, causing a 45-minute delay on the road outside ABP Bandon.
