Cattle classes cancelled at Dungarvan show due to TB in area

Dungarvan Agricultural Show in Co Waterford has canceled all cattle classes at its 2026 event.

The show committee made the difficult decision due to an outbreak of bovine TB in the surrounding area.

The committee made the announcement through social media on Wednesday, stating: "Due to an outbreak of bovine TB in the surrounding area, the committee of Dungarvan Show have decided to cancel all cattle classes for this year.

"We regret having to make this decision as the cattle classes are an integral part of our show. We look forward to welcoming them back in 2027."

The show will take place on Sunday 12 July at Ballygegan, Dungarvan, Co Waterford, X35XD25.
