The deadline for Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES) tranche one participants to attend a voluntary training course is 31 March 2026.
Participants may attend a voluntary training course in year three of ACRES for which they will receive €156 in payment. Approved trainers will receive €90 per applicant.
The Department of Agriculture explains that the original timeframe of completing a voluntary training course in 2025 was extended to 31 March 2026 “in view of the large number of ACRES tranche one participants”.

The Department stated that this deadline will not be extended further and advise any farmer interested to contact an approved ACRES trainer as soon as possible to indicate their interest.
An updated list of approved ACRES trainers can be found on the Department’s website, www.agriculture.gov.ie, at ACRES Training Scheme (ATS).
The Department also advises that the final date which ACRES tranche two participants, ie those farmers that were accepted in to ACRES from 1 January 2024, may attend a voluntary training course is 31 December 2026.
