Canada – pork imports

The USDA is forecasting that Canadian pork imports will fall by 5% in 2027 to 210,000 tonnes carcase weight equivalent.

Philippines – chicken expansion

The USDA is forecasting that chicken meat production will grow by 5.8% in 2027 to 1.920m tonnes, consumption to increase by 8.6% to 2.7m tonnes and imports to increase by 14.7% to 780,000 tonnes.

Australia – cattle exports

Meat and Livestock Australia reports that 79% of Australia’s live cattle exports went to Indonesia in the first seven months of 2026.

Ukraine – wheat exports

The Kyiv Post reports that combined Ukraine and Russian wheat exports between July and September have fallen by 8m tonnes, half last year’s volume, due to ongoing conflict.
