The Irish Farmers Journal understands that the long-awaited agri food strategy to succeed Food Wise 2025 will go out to public consultation during the week commencing 12 April. It is long overdue with COVID-19 and then Brexit blamed for delays.
More recently, the environmental pillar withdrew from participation in preparing the strategy.
It had previously been indicated to the Irish Farmers Journal that the strategy would go out to consultation before Easter.
