Another very strong guide price of over €20,000/ac can be seen in Tipperary this week, as the busy autumn continues in the county.
Alison De Vere Hunt, on the back of her three auctions this week, is offering a 51.5-acre package at Glennagat, Clerihan, Co Tipperary. The auction, which takes place at the Cashel Mart on 14 November, will be the fourth of six auctioned farms on her books over the October/November period. The farm is a well laid out piece of ground, currently under grass. Divided into two lots, the first is the main 44-acre block and the second is a 7.5-acre holding located across the road. The guide of €20,000/ac may be strong, but given some of the prices seen in the county this year it wouldn’t be a surprise. Its location, suitated between Cahir, Clonmel and Cashel, means competition to buy it is high. There is a considerable equine and dairy presence in the area, and such competition is driving this guide.
