There has been much speculation in dairy circles about the future of the herd since news broke that the former agricultural college’s land bank was going on the market. At circa 813ac, the farm is one of the most well-known farms in Munster, if not the country.

Previously home to an agricultural college, it was run as a mixed farm before becoming a specialist grass-based dairy unit milking in excess of 600 cows.

Dairy facilities on the farm consist of a 60-unit deLaval rotary parlour and there are close to 650 cubicle spaces along with winter accommodation for 200 head of cattle.

Rockwell Farm which has a guide price of excess €21m is offered for sale in its entirety or in two lots of circa 270ac and circa 543ac and the entire.
