Jameson and Teeling are enjoying the global renaissance of Irish whiskey as sales soar around the world.
Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard, the owners of the number one Irish whiskey in the world, reported a 13% growth in volumes for the year ended 30 June 2017.
Jameson is the world’s fastest-growing Irish whiskey, experiencing 28 years of consecutive growth and hitting sales of 6.5m cases in 2017. Growth in value was recorded ahead of volume growth at 15%. Since 2012, Irish Distillers has invested over €250m to double capacity.

Meanwhile, sales of Teeling Whiskey increased 37% last year to €12.2m on a like-for-like basis.
Teeling’s profits (EBITDA) increased 35% to €2.3m last year. As part of the sale of Cooley Distillery in 2012, Teeling and his family secured a small supply from its new owners, Beam. To date, the company has sold 1.4m bottles of its whiskey.
John Teeling’s Great Northern Distillery is set to raise another €2.5m via EIIS funding, bringing total funding to €15m.
