I see that Irishman Séamus Boland will be leading an important EU institution for the next three years. Boland, who is the CEO of Irish Rural Link, will be inaugurated as president of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) this Thursday.
Boland has represented Irish rural and community development on EESC for almost 14 years.
He has held the position of CEO of Irish Rural Link for over 25 years, and becomes the first Irish person to become EESC president.
