Twenty farm deaths in 2025

As of 20 December, there have been 20 farm fatalities in 2025, a sharp increase on the 12 deaths in 2024, a trend described as "concerning" by Michael Healy Rae, the Minister of State with responsibility for Farm Safety.

He urged farmers and their families to apply "a safety-first approach" to their work.
