The third installment of the Yield Watch series focuses on the T2 fungicide. The crop has transformed since we last visited on 31 March.
The T2 is due out this week when the flag leaf is fully emerged. Cooney Furlong Grain agronomist George Blackburn has all the advice you need for your T2 application including timings.
His plan is to apply Revystar as the main fungicide this time. He will also apply folpet, Phylgreen seaweed for anti-stress and a bio-stimulant – Optiplant.

George thinks Optiplant will help with fusarium control and disease control. He is focused on a health plant. Farmer Isaac Wheelock is delighted to see how the crop transformed in a few short weeks and is happy to push on with inputs to try and achieve a 5t/ac crop after what has been a difficult season so far in this field.
