A Massey Ferguson 185 and a McHale bale splitter have been stolen from a Cavan farm.
The tractor and bale splitter were stolen from a farm in the Knockbride-Canningstown area of Bailieboro overnight Friday 15 January.
The owners of the tractor, the Wedlocks, have said the tractor bonnet has been cut at the window and the bale splitter has distinct welding on the bottom of it due to a repair.
The bale splitter doesn’t have the yellow safety guard fitted.
It is the latest theft reported in the county, after two neighbouring sheep farmers reported that 17 of their in-lamb ewes were stolen earlier this week.
Shane Brady had 14 of his Mule ewes stolen out of his yard between Wednesday and Friday. His neighbour, Kevin Smith, reported that three Suffolk-cross ewes, also in-lamb, were taken on Wednesday night.
Both farmers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
