The second of our Spring Livestock Series concentrates on dairy calf to beef production and will kick off at 8.30pm. The evening will focus on the use of beef genetics on the dairy herd and discuss the challenges faced in ensuring a viable dairy beef calf industry in Ireland.

Panellists for the night include members of the Irish Farmers Journal livestock team: Adam Woods, Aidan Brennan, Darren Carty and Declan Marren as well a Joe Burke of Bord Bia.

Our moderator for the webinar is CEO and editor of the Irish Farmers Journal, Justin McCarthy. He will ask the panel an array of questions including:

  • What price can I afford to pay for calves?
  • What results can be seen from the THRIVE programme?
