The annual Irish Tillage and Land Use Society (ITLUS) conference will take place online this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions.

The conference will be held as a Zoom webinar on 3 December starting at 10am and finishing at 11.30am, ahead of the ITLUS AGM.

The meeting is to focus on updates from the CAP negotiations and new nitrates regulations. There will also be a brief review of the ITLUS study tour to Australia last January.

Agenda

  • 10am: president's introduction - Mervyn McCann, honorary president ITLUS.
  • 10.05am: update on new CAP entitlements - Francis Morrin, DAFM, principal CAP entitlement division. Responsible for CAP payment entitlements, National Reserve and Young Farmers scheme.
  • 10.35am: update on new nitrates regulations - Bernard Harris, DAFM, nitrates division, responsible for implementation of nitrates action programme.
  • 11.05am: review of ITLUS educational trip to Australia in January 2020 - Vinny McIntyre, ITLUS member.
  • 11.30am: society AGM.
