Watch: racing the rain in Co Down to harvest DK Exclaim oilseed rape
Stephen Robb visits Co Down From the Tramlines grower Simon Best where he was harvesting his DK Exclaim oilseed rape crop before the break in the weather last week.
Last Thursday marked the last of any significant days of harvesting around most of the country.
For many growers, last week was a race against time before heavy showers filled our skylines over the weekend.
The pressure was particularly high for growers harvesting winter oilseed rape, as heavy rain at this stage may increase the risk of pod shatter and yield loss.

Advanced
The crop was drilled in the last week of August and got off to a great start.
The crop looked proud and advanced throughout the spring, but suffered some lodging during May.
As a result, Simon was seeing some secondary growth in the crop, which was slowing down harvest.
Despite this, the crop was performing well, with yields of around 2t/ac received.
