This morning's rain should clear northwards later today leading to persistent rain in the north and northwest of the country. After the rain clears some sunny spells and occassional showers will develop over Munster and extend across Leinster with highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.
This evening and tonight, showery rain will become more widespread again with lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees.
At the moment Wednesday looks set to be a cool windy day with occasional rain or showers. Top temperatures will reach 10 or 13 degrees with coolest temperatures in the north.

The night will be much colder with temperatures of between 2 and 4 degrees.
Thursday, however, will be mainly dry with just a few isolated showers and and a mix of cloud and sunny spells. Winds will be mostly light and it will be rather cool with highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees, coolest in northern parts of the country.
