Friday

Met Éireann forecasts a dry start to the day for most of the country, with showers affecting parts of Connacht and Ulster. These showers will spread southeastwards later in the day, most frequent in the north. Top temperatures of 14°C to 18°C.

By night, Friday will be dry, apart from a few showers affecting parts of the northwest, extending south by morning. Lowest temperatures of 8°C to 11°C.

Saturday

Saturday will consist of sunny spells and scattered showers, with the potential for heavy showers in the northern half of the country. Temperature will be cooler in these areas, only reaching 13°C or 14°C.

Showers will continue in the north and west overnight, becoming mostly dry elsewhere with lows of 9°C to 12°C.

Sunday

On Sunday, there will be sunshine and scattered showers, with highs of 15°C to 19°C. It will be mostly dry, with lows of 8°C to 11°C by night.

Week ahead

Early indications for next week forecast a cloudy start, with further showery weather. Temperatures will be close to average for the time of year.
