Colourful Characters Illustration Camp

19-21 April: Imaginations will run wild in this art workshop in Meath with artist and author Tatyana Feeney. Children between the ages of eight and 12 will have the chance to bring their imaginative characters to life through drawing and print. Over three days, participants will explore different characters within stories and learn how to create their own heroes and heroines.

They will also learn how to create scenes for their characters and then develop their drawings using ink and mono-print techniques. The Easter camp will take place in the Solstice Art Centre in Navan. See www.solsticeartscentre.ie

Friends! The Musical Parody

26-30 April: The American TV show Friends is one of those sitcoms that is loved by many generations. Now a spin-off parody is coming to Cork city! Travelling all the way from Broadway and Las Vegas, Robert C Kelly and production company Theatre Mogul will put on a show following Ross, Chandler, Phoebe, Monica, Joey and Rachel though their everyday lives.

There will be lots of laughter, singing and dancing, scenes we know from the original show and adaptations. Ultimately, it will be entertainment aplenty. See www.everymancork.com for more information.

Connemara Mountain Walking Festival

30 April-1 May: Why not end April on a high (mountain)? The Connemara Mountain Walking Festival is back in all its glory with the goal to allow participants to experience their local community as well as immerse themselves in the landscape. The festival centres around Leenane Village, giving you the unique combination of mountains and views of the sea.
