Solar panels on sheds are now eligible to TAMS II funding.

IFA renewable energy chair Tom Short has said the €10m announced for rooftop solar panel grants and the focus on LED lighting in the TAMS II scheme must form part of a wider farm renewable energy policy.
“The Department of Agriculture has taken the initiative, by rolling out funding for PV solar and energy efficiency lighting and this is a welcome first step," Short said.
However, he described this as a "token amount in the context of what is needed to drive on the rapid expansion of Ireland’s circular bio-economy, which encompasses renewable energy".

Short called for a coherent Government strategy to support the deployment of community energy generation across the range of technologies available to contribute to Ireland's EU climate change and renewable energy targets.
