Seasonal jobs with FRS

Farm Relief Service (FRS) is offering up to 100 seasonal farm jobs.

It is currently running a recruitment drive across Munster, Leinster and Ulster, offering training, flexible hours and competitive rates to successful applicants.

The company says that individuals can earn up to €8,000 or more this spring.

It is also encouraging more women to take part in the recruitment drive, stating that many women find the flexible hours allow to balance work commitments with family life.

Stockperson

Stockperson required on a suckler/beef farm in west Clare with 80 stock on the farm.

The applicant must be a self-starter and capable of operating on their own.

Experience in calving cows and having the basic husbandry skills will be required.

A dairy and beef enterprise in Co Laois is looking for a calf rearer who could also do farm and tractor work.

There are 130 dairy cows on the farm and the successful applicant should have experience milking and a full drivers licence.

General farm worker in Antrim

A dairy farm in Co Antrim with a 500ac farm with 400 pedigree Holstein Friesian herd, requires a general farm worker.

The herd are milked twice daily in a 24-unit herringbone parlour. The herd are housed all-year round and are TMR fed.

We are seeking an applicant with three to five years of a similar position. Breeding of pedigree animal would be a distinct advantage. No qualification is required but a dairy course would be of benefit.
