Carbery has maintained its base milk price for December milk, but has removed the 1cpl support payment which it has been paying to its four shareholder co-ops over the past few months, a statement from the co-op reads.
Based on the November price paid by the four west Cork co-ops of 32.8c/l, this would result in a December milk price of 31.8c/l excluding VAT and SCC support payments.
Suppliers of Drinagh Co-op received a text on Thursday to say that they would receive 32.8c/l for December supplies excluding VAT.

Meanwhile Aurivo’s board has decided to hold its milk price for December. Aurivo suppliers will receive 28.5c/l excluding VAT for December supplies. The board notes more positive market conditions in recent weeks and "will continue to pay the maximum milk price as per market returns."
