Aurivo has secured a new €3.3m contract to supply fresh Irish milk to Aldi stores in Leinster and Ulster.

Under the new contract, Aurivo will provide seven product lines including 1l milk, 1l skimmed milk enriched with vitamins, 1l protein milk and 1l lactose-free milk.

The milk will be sold under Aldi’s Clonbawn own-brand and the milk will be 100% farmed and processed in Ireland, featuring the National Dairy Council logo on its packaging.

Aurivo is the second-largest liquid milk processor in the country and has partnered with Aldi since 2013, providing several dairy products including Aldi’s Kilkeely Gold spreadable butter 454g.

Aldi also works with several liquid milk processors including Arrabawn Co-op, Strathroy, Lakeland Dairies, and Lee Strand.

Commenting on the announcement, Aldi group buying director John Curtin said it has never been more important to buy Irish and Aldi is committed to supporting its Irish suppliers.

Seamus Hannon, Aurivo national account manager, said the processor is delighted to expand its relationship with Aldi to its liquid milk business.
