Last year I revealed that Bord Bia was on the hunt for a new home as its lease on its offices at Clanwilliam Court, close to the Grand Canal, is due to end in August 2021.

I’m told the search has now ended, with a new location identified.

In line with the Government’s new rural plan, unveiled this week, The Dealer was looking forward to visiting a swish new premises, revitalising a small market town in Co Leitrim.

I envisaged the new HQ helping to create one of those “resilient and sustainable rural communities” promised by Leo Varadkar and Heather Humphreys. Sadly, ‘twas not to be. The new location is city centre Dublin, not far from Clanwilliam Court.
