Brazilian agriculture is in expansion mode. Dairy farmers aim to increase cow numbers, while strong demand for beef means production is forecast to rise 2.6% each year to 2021.

Outside of beef and dairy, seed companies and grain processors are looking at diversifying their businesses, by planting new crops in a bid to make more use of their land or processing non-GM soybeans.

Meanwhile, pork production is also forecast to increase. It has low costs of production as a result of the low prices and high availability of feed.
