Clóna Dairy Products ltd has become the first dairy processor to have all its suppliers accredited under Bord Bia’s Sustainable Dairy Assurance Scheme (SDAS). The co-op also received third party verification to Bord Bia’s Origin Green programme.

Clóna is a liquid milk processor owned by West Cork co-ops. An event near Clonakilty on Monday was attended by 41 farmer-suppliers as well as Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed and Bord Bia CEO Tara McCarthy.

“We would like to acknowledge the hard work and tremendous dedication of our suppliers in ensuring their farms meet the high standards set out by the SDAS scheme,” Clóna CEO Tony O’Driscoll said.
