Weather forecast
It looks as though the dry autumn weather has well and truly come to an end, as Met Éireann has issued a wind and rain warning for Friday 9 November.
A number of counties along the east coast are in store for heavy showers, with up to 40mm expected in certain regions.
Counties in the west of the country are likely to subjected to extreme winds, with gusts up to 110km/hr according to the weather forecaster.
