A man has been killed following a fatal accident on his farm in Co Laois. The accident occurred on Saturday 7 June on a farm in Clonabeg, Co Laois.
In a statement to the Irish Farmers Journal, An Gardaí Síochána said: “Gardaí in Clonaslee are investigating an incident that occurred on a farm in Clonabeg, Co Laois, on Saturday 7 July 2018. A male in his 80s was fatally injured on his farm. A post mortem is due to take place today.”
To date, 12 people have died on Irish farms this year.
