The show has an impressive exhibitor range maintains Catherine Rothwell who once again is playing a major role in organising the event. She outlined some of the attractions this year. “The show sponsors, Liffey Distributors – representing Husqvarna, Oregon and Aspen – will be well represented,” she said. Sawmills such as Murray Timber Group and Laois Sawmills, national exhibitors and those from Northern Ireland, Britain and Europe (such as the new exhibitor, Penz Crane GmbH) will be present along with Industrial and Farm Machinery and industry giants Komatsu Forestry and John Deere Forestry.
Forestry groups such as the Irish Timber Growers Association, the Association of Irish Forestry Consultants, IFA Forestry and RDS Forestry will be available to discuss your forestry queries. Leading State bodies such as Teagasc, other research and educational organisations, both State and private, including COFORD and the Waterford Institute of Technology, will have a strong presence.
Interest is huge from the forestry services and consultancy sectors, including Woodland Managers, TKF Training, Stuart Insurances, the Forestry Journal and Forestry & Energy Review.
Specialist products are catered for, with new exhibitors lcpackaging and Lyon Equipment for Petzl tree climbing equipment, and return exhibitors, Silky Saws, SIP and Arborist.ie. Major machinery suppliers such as M. Large, Woodpecker, Wilson and Marshall are also exhibiting.

Catherine Rothwell said: “For adventure and creativity head for The Copse (Area B) which hosts the Tree Climbing Championships and most of the woodland crafts including wood turning; pole lathing; timber candles and blacksmith’s work.” She said there is a delicious mix of rustic food in addition to a full catering marquee in Area A. In Area B Rogan’s Smoke House provides excellent food, while Lilliput Loaves offers bread baked on site over a wood stove and “Aberdeen Angus steak burgers from Lough Owel Organic Farm are available for the serious carnivores” she maintained.
