Timber 2015 is aimed at and of interest and value to a wide range of people across the commercial, industrial, agricultural, recreational, environmental and related areas according to show organiser David Wilkinson. “Quite simply, there is something at some level for every person interested in trees and woodlands,” he said.

The show has an impressive exhibitor range maintains Catherine Rothwell who once again is playing a major role in organising the event. She outlined some of the attractions this year. “The show sponsors, Liffey Distributors – representing Husqvarna, Oregon and Aspen – will be well represented,” she said. Sawmills such as Murray Timber Group and Laois Sawmills, national exhibitors and those from Northern Ireland, Britain and Europe (such as the new exhibitor, Penz Crane GmbH) will be present along with Industrial and Farm Machinery and industry giants Komatsu Forestry and John Deere Forestry.

Forestry groups such as the Irish Timber Growers Association, the Association of Irish Forestry Consultants, IFA Forestry and RDS Forestry will be available to discuss your forestry queries. Leading State bodies such as Teagasc, other research and educational organisations, both State and private, including COFORD and the Waterford Institute of Technology, will have a strong presence.
