Celebrating Irish food, Blas na hEireann is one of the biggest blind-tasting competitions in the world. Over 2,000 products were entered into 80 different categories, with winners from all over the country taking gold, silver and bronze medals.
The judging panel was made up of chefs, foodies and food scientists from UCC.
The SuperValu Signature Tastes Range and SuperValu Own Brand products won nine gold, 10 silver and seven bronze awards. The award winners included Kepak, Oliver Carty, Mallons, Dunn’s Seafood, Ballymaguire, Follain and Fusco Foods.

SuperValu was also recognised in the Where We Shop 2014 report, as the best promoter of Irish products.
