Free computer training offered to farmers in the southwest
With many government and commerical services moving online, a course has been designed in Limerick to help those with limited computer knowledge adapt.
The farming community in the southwest will have the chance to avail of a free digital skills course, starting in September.
The course is designed for people who have little or no experience using computers and the internet. The course will be run by Iolar Training in conjunction with Limerick Social Service Centre on behalf of the Department of Communication.

Taking place in Limerick, it would be suitable for farmers in the Limerick, Clare and Tipperary area. The courses are being rolled out by the Government as many of its services move online. The aim is to ensure everyone has the basic know-how to access the internet.
The course will focus on basic computing and internet skills, taking participants from switching on a computer for the first time towards using email,search engines and the agfood.ie website.
Courses will run on Mondays throughout the day and to reserve a place, or for more information, call Iolar Training on 089-4207708.
