The main Dutch processor FrieslandCampina is paying 36.12c/litre for February milk supply, while the main French milk players Sodiaal, Lactalis and Danone paid 35.26c, 35.08c and 34.51c/litre respectively.

As reported in the Irish Farmers Journal monthly milk league for February, Glanbia is paying about 31.85c/litre including VAT, Kerry 31.68c and Dairygold 31.51c/litre.

In line with German prices

Irish milk prices are in line with German prices and about 1c/litre ahead of US (Class 3) milk prices.

New Zealand’s milk price from Fonterra at 30.44c/litre is at the bottom of the global table.

When we convert milk prices to cent/litre and use the standardised formula that we use in the monthly milk league, it is clear Irish milk prices are about 3c to 4c/litre behind the main French and Dutch dairy European players.

Also worth noting is that some processors have additional payments as annual top-ups on top of the prices in the table.
