The Canadian ministry for agriculture has revised upwards its forecast for this season’s rapeseed exports to 11.5m tonnes. If realised, this would be a record volume of rapeseed exports for Canada, primarily driven by strong demand from India.
German dairy farmers produced more than 2.5bn litres of milk in October, which is a 5% increase on the same month last year. German milk production for the first 10 months of this year now stands at 25.8bn litres, which is 1% down on last year.
Uruguayan beef exports for November totalled 35,225t, which is a 10% increase year on year. Beef exports from Uruguay for the 11 months to the end of November now stand at just under 360,000t.

Cofco, one of the largest global grain traders, has forecast that China will import 100m tonnes of soya beans for the 2017/18 season. This would be a record level of imports and significantly higher than the USDA forecast of 97m tonnes.
