Harvest 2018 continues to move at a rapid pace. Winter barley is largely done as good progress has been made in the northwest. Winter oats are also finishing up while the winter oilseed rape harvest is fully under way.

Early spring barley yield reports range from 2t/ac to 3.4t/ac with average moistures around 18%. Protein levels are ranging from 9% to 15% with bushels between 53KPH and 64KPH. Screenings of 15% and above have been reported. Green grains in the sample is reported to be an issue.

Early winter wheat yields are reported to be low but many growers have stated that their crops are still seven to 10 days away from harvest. Average winter oilseed rape yields are around 1.6t/ac while winter oats are around 3.2t/ac.
