Farmers struggling with unmanageable farm debt or mortgage arrears are being invited to take part in a private virtual webinar to be held on Thursday 14 January at 7.30pm.
The event is being hosted by the ICMSA and its president Pat McCormack will chair the event.
Restructuring expert Gary Digney of accountants PKF-FPM and barrister Keith Farry will provide advice to farmers on the night.

Digney and Farry have recorded several high-profile judgements and decisions against so-called vulture funds and will explain their approach and outline the fundamentals of a recourse that is being seen as giving much more positive options to farmers in these invidious positions.
Working out of debt
Pat McCormack said that legal outcomes that left indebted farmers in possession of their lands and in a position to work their way out of the debt had to be the preferred solution.
He said that the ICMSA supports the Digney-Farry approach and he urged any farmers in this stressed situation to email info@ICMSA.ie and register in advance of next week’s event.
The event will be private so as not to breach the confidentiality of participants.
