Weather conditions are set to be bright and dry for the National Ploughing Championships, according to Met Éireann’s forecaster John Eagleton.
"If the weather could be ordered, this is what it would be," he told the Irish Farmers Journal.
Ideal
Describing the weather outlook as "ideal", Eagleton said there is no rainfall or heavy winds forecast.
Temperatures will get progressively warmer by one degree per day throughout the week, with temperatures from 15°C to 18°C predicted.
Clouds will be passing, leaving the odd sunny spell, but generally there will be a light breeze.
The weather will remain seasonably autumnal, with no repeat of the conditions from last year’s event.
