With over 500 lots up for grabs, a huge crowd of machinery enthusiasts travelled to Co Carlow seeking bargains at Kelly’s of Borris clearance auction on Saturday. The auction kicked off shortly after 11am at the Kelly’s premises.

The lots on offer included self-propelled harvesters, combines, tractors, loading shovels, mowers, balers, rakes, sprayers, ploughs and smaller kit such as workshop tools.

The auction was hosted by Michael Doyle Auctions. All prices listed are subject to 23% VAT, in addition to 5% commission (up to a maximum of €750 commission per lot).

In this article we focus on the tractors and wheel loaders.

This 2005 John Deere 6920s Autopower tractor sold for €15,000.

This 2008 Claas Arion 640 came with cab and front suspension. With 5,000 hours on the clock, it sold for €13,500.

This 2005 Valtra T160 came equipped with a 50km/h transmission and front suspension. With 11,000 hours showing on the clock, it sold for €12,000.

This 2007 Massey Ferguson 6490 came fitted with a 50km/h Dyno 6 transmission and air brakes. It sold for €19,000.

This 2001 Massey Ferguson 6290 sold for €15,400.

This 2008 Valtra T121 come with front suspension and three spools. With just 4,000 hours showing on the clock, it sold for €15,000.

This 2005 Valtra T130 came with front suspension and three spool valves. With 7,750 hours showing on the clock, it sold for €11,600.

This clean example of a Renault 350, built back in 2001, with 8,300 hours on the clock, was unsold at €13,000.

This Zetor 9641 came equipped with a Rossmore front-end loader. With 7,000 hours on the clock, it was unsold for €14,500.

This Fiat 780 equipped with a Tanco front-end loader went unsold at €3,800.
