A total of 401 John Deere tractors were registered for the first time in Scotland during the 12 months from April 2017 to March 2018. This is according to figures from the Scottish Government, released to the Farmers Journal.

The green machines lead the way with New Holland and Massey Ferguson with 308 and 248 registrations respectively. After the big three, the most popular brands were Kubota, with 159 registrations and Valtra with 155 registrations.

In total, there were 1,763 first-time registrations of tractors, and, while some of these would be attributed to vintage tractors being registered, the vast majority are registrations of new tractors.
