Norfolk-based muck spreader manufacturers Bunning introduced a new model to its Farmstar HBD spinning disc range. The Farmstar range aims to accommodate smaller farmers who do not require the larger machines Bunning is known for.

The Farmstar 80 has a capacity of 8m³. If equipped with side extensions, this can be increased to 10.2m³.

The Farmstar 80 has a maximum payload of 8.5t.

The new machine uses much of the same components as the larger models, including body and floor construction, chains, slats and gearboxes, blended with the newly designed Horizontal Beater and Spinning Disc (HBD) spreading mechanism.

The same spreading patterns of the larger machines can be achieved with the Farmstar 80, thanks to the use of the same spreading discs.

Other design features include heat-treated boron beater flighting and reversible boron beater blades for an increased lifespan. The 1m diameter Hardox steel spinning discs feature adjustable blade angles.

Spreading widths of up to 24m can be achieved. The new model is fitted with a 13t axle and 406 x 120mm brakes as standard. Weigh cells can also be fitted.

Prices start at €40,800 plus VAT.
