I’m not from a farm myself so please excuse my ignorance on the subject. Is there any way that members of the public can help farmers on the fodder crisis?
For example, can restaurants and pubs donate their fruit/vegetable peelings to feed livestock? Can supermarkets give farmers their out-of-date fruit and vegetables rather than dumping them?

Waste
Even people like myself are always buying more vegetables than we need. I would much rather drop them into a neighbouring farmer than throw them in the bin. Reducing waste while helping people in need sounds like a win-win situation to me.
