While reading your publication I read an article on a tillage farmer who had purchased an new mintill drill. I thought nothing unusual about this until he gave one of the reasons for his purchases as being the lack of available labour. I was surprised at this as every week in the recruitment section I see a range of dairy farm jobs but rarely see one advertised for work on tillage farms. Maybe the reason tillage farmers can’t find available labour is because they don’t look for it?
